Tom Andersen works
as projects director for Westchester Land Trust in Bedford
Hills, N.Y. His book, “This Fine Piece of Water: An Environmental History of Long Island Sound,” was
published in May 2002 by Yale University Press (and was released
in paperback in 2004). He blogs daily about the Sound and other

Tom covered environmental issues as a reporter in Westchester County for 17 years. He lives in Pound Ridge, N.Y.
